The collage made by mixing the faces of femicide victims and my own faces. The reason for the murder of each victim, printed on film from the back of the screen, and the manner in which they were killed are seen through.
This photo frame style is common for the portrait of the deceased in Japan.
I thought of the victims and background of cases through making works.
When I see cases of femicide, I feel like another me dies every time. She has died because of her gender. that’s it.
Possibly I was her, or you were her if you are female.
